Business leaders from the Global Investors for Sustainable Development (GISD) Alliance will be holding their Strategy Group and Annual Meetings on the 28th and 29th of October 2024 at the UN Headquarters in New York City.  

GISD Alliance will share progress of their work on unlocking of private capital for sustainable development and discuss solutions that can be brought forth at the upcoming Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4). 

In parallel, the FfD4 Multistakeholder Hearing will take place on 28th October bringing together civil society, academia, private sector, and philanthropy organizations, among others, to actively engage in discussions towards an ambitious FfD4 outcome. During the Multistakeholder Hearing, GISD and the Business Steering Committee will hold a panel discussion on private sector contributions to FFD4.  

Additionally, the GISD Co-Chairs and Strategy Group will meet with the FfD4 Preparatory Committee Bureau on GISD’s contributions, as part of the preparation for FfD4. The Bureau comprises of Member States’ Permanent Representatives to the UN and is overseeing the substantive preparations for FfD4.   

The meetings shall be followed by an invitation-only luncheon hosted in partnership with the UN Foundation, providing an opportunity for all GISD Alliance members to interact with high-level UN officials and representatives from UN Member States.
